My last blog post may have sounded like I was a little harsh on myself. And that is not what I intended. I just feel like the blogosphere is a place where I can share my struggles as well as my triumphs. I simply needed a bit of a creative revival. I had lost a bit of the joy that I once had in blogging and just took a little break. :)
But I'm back! And a few days ago was my one-year blogiversary with Uncommonplace! This is the longest I have ever stuck with a blog and I hope that this is just the beginning! During my creative revival break. I decided to really get organized. I've tried a few blog planners in the past, but I haven't found one I totally loved.
So, I booted up my tried and true digital scrapbooking program (since I can't afford/don't know how to use photoshop) and made my own! I took my favorite aspects from different planners and infused some of my own desires to create a detailed planner that suits my needs. And if it works for me, it might even work for you!
First is just a simple title page that I stuck in the front of the binder I keep my planner in. I just like things to look cohesive. :)

Next comes a simple editorial calendar. This helps me lay out posts in advance or move things around if I don't get to them. Seeing things in a longer term sense really helps keep me on track!

The third page I use helps me manage each week. Here is where I write a more detailed title or explanation of the post I want to do. The "To Do" list helps me remember when to schedule posts, create images, photograph DIY posts, or anything else blog related that week. While I'm working, sometimes I will have a great idea for a future post, so I have a place to jot it down so that I don't forget it! In the notes, sometimes I will put down possible blogs to read, people to talk to, or anything else I need to remember from that week.

This page was a major necessity to me because I am so bad about using social media and other tools to promote my blog posts. This page helps me manage what I am going to do and when I am going to utilize all of those tools. My goal is to create at least 3 pinnable images each week, so this helps me keep track of them. Under "other," I often put link-ups, blog hops, or forums to comment on.

The sponsor management page isn't quite as necessary since I manage all of my sponsors through Passionfruit Ads, but it is nice to have all important info in one place. Plus, this helps keep track of the promotions you do with different sponsors (sponsor highlight posts, group giveaway, individual giveaway, guest post, etc).

I hope this planner is helpful! I know it has definitely improved my blogging productivity which is essential for preventing burnout. If you decide to use it, leave a comment and let me know what you think! If there are enough good suggestions for changes, maybe I will do a part two! :)
