So since I am not out having adventures today, I thought I would feature some people who are! Currently, my parents, sister, grandparents, and some other people from the church I grew up in are on a mission trip in Thailand. They will be going to Cambodia in a few days, but today I want to share a few photos.
This first set of photos is from Chiang Mai, Thailand, where they went to work with a local missionary.
The following pictures are from a project called "Aquaponics." According to my mom:
"The aquaponics project in chiang Mai is pretty cool. When finished, there will be fish tanks that drain into hydroponic beds so there is natural good fertilizer. This is a pilot project in Thailand with the hopes of implementing it at children's homes to help them learn skills and become self-supporting. And I haven't been this tired in a long time."
Here are a few miscellaneous photos from their trip so far.
Hanging out in Bangkok.
And my absolute favorite picture, my little sister's new Thai boyfriend, a waiter at a German restaurant. He called her beautiful and made her three napkin designs, as you can tell. :) I really wish I could have been there to see this!
When the group gets back, I am hoping to have my sister come and do a guest post to tell some great stories! I'm so looking forward to it, but for now, hopefully this gives you a taste of what is to come!
