The long awaited day has finally arrived! I now have in my possession a DSLR! The Pentax K-r is everything I hoped it would be and more. Granted, I have only had it for less than 12 hours, but when upgrading from an old Canon point-and-shoot, it's pretty perfect.
Unfortunately I had to work this afternoon, so by the time I got home it was dark. No natural light to play with. But I didn't let that stop me! I still did a little photo shoot with items around my house and worked with what I could. Here are my favorites:
I'm not looking for praise or criticism right now since I didn't put a whole lot of effort into any of these. I didn't crop anything and barely lightened up a few of them. Mostly, I just wanted to share my excitement that I finally have a high quality camera! I can't wait until I have time to experiment more with it!
For those of you who have DSLRs, what are some tips you would give beginners? I'm a total sponge for knowledge right now. :)
